Cold Beverages & Fountain

Cold Beverages  &  Fountain

Cold Beverage Water Filtration Systems designed to provide consistent quality carbonated and non-carbonated beverages and reduce unscheduled service calls in post mix systems.

BEV190Convenience Stores, Restaurants, Quick Service operations all depend on their beverage machines for the most profitable part of their operations.

Excess sediment can cause abrasion and shorten life of pumps, seals, 0-rings and valves.

Excess Chlorine risidual can cause upleasant-tasting beverages.

Bev 190 Series Filter System with Shut-off Valve

Scale Removal

SG195

Scale Removal

Reducing scale build-up on evaporator plates, corrosion of metallic components, and clogging of distribution nozzles and solenoid valves is key to economically efficient production and quality of product.

CUNO Fooservice adn Aqua-Pure® Commerical Products provide built-in scale inhibition as well as chlorine and sediment reduction. Reduced service calls and reduced downtime increase bottom line profitablity

Pictured at Left: SGP195BN-T

APPLICATION:

Aqua-Pure® Model SGP195BN-T single-cartridge water filtration systems assure consistent high-quality water for espresso and espresso-based drinks at flow rates to 1.0 gpm (3.8 lpm).

A blend of high-capacity, strong - and weak-acid ion-exchange resins reduces calcium and magnesium ions to prevent hard scale formation on heating coils and
boilers that result in energy inefficiency, downtime, and expensive service calls.

Inlet water TDS and alkalinity are also reduced. Premium activated carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor and bitterness associated with poor water quality.

Exhausted cartridges may be incinerated for environmentally conscious disposal.

Microbiological Systems & Solutions

Microbiological Systems & Solutions

APCD390Targeted systems for water treatment at pointof-entry and point-of-use. When free chlorine levels are below 0.5 ppm. Private well supplies in commercial applications feeding over 25 people, require a reliable system for health safety.

Shown at right: DP 390--a Point of Use system

One system with dual outlet connections simultaneously supplies cold beverage dispensers and ice machines/coffee brewers for an entire store.

• Certified by NSF to Standard 53 for cyst reduction (DP390 system).

• NSF Standard 42 and/or FDA CFR-21 compliance provides assurance of safety.

• The removal of 99.99% of common water-borne heterotrophic bacteria** by
membrane filtration, as measured by CUNO.

Better Brewing

MS125

Better Brewing

Aqua-Pure® BREW120-MS and BREW125-MS single-cartridge water-filtration systems provide consistent high-quality water for the perfect cup of coffee or tea by reducing the harmful effects of sediment and chlorine at flow rates to 1.5 gpm (5.7 lpm).

A proprietary slow-release scale inhibitor reduces the ability of calcium and magnesium salts to form on he heating coils and cause downtime and unscheduled service maintenance.

Reduction Claims: Sediment, Chlorine taste, odor, cyst & Scale

MODEL BREW120-MS combines scale reduction with cyst, sediment and chorine taste and odor reduction for 9,000 gallons (34,069 liters). Micron Rating: 0.5 Flow Rate: 1.5 gpm (5.7 lpm)

• MODEL BREW125-MS combines scale reduction with sediment and chlorine taste and odor reduction from higher-turbidity water for 10,000 gallons (37,854 liters). Micron Rating: 1.0 Flow Rate: 1.5 gpm (5.7 lpm)

Brew 120 Series Valve-In-Head Filer System: 18,000 pots (1/2 Gal/2-liter)

Multi-Equipment Combinations

DP190DP390

Multi-Equipment Combinations

Dual Port and Dual Flow Water Filtration Systems for Multiple Equipment Applications. Central systems designed to provide appropriate water quality to multiple pieces of equipment that require different water characteristics.

Scale build-up on evaporator plates and heating coilds can significantly increase maintenance costs.

Excess sediment can cause abrasion and short life on pumps, seals and o-rings.

Excess chlorine and organics can cause unpleasant-tasting beverages and chlorine smell and corrosion in ice bins.

The Need:
To provide appropriate water quality to equipment requiring different water characteristics. Reduction of bacteria, sediment, chlorine, taste/odor, cyst & scale.

The Solution:
Dual Port and Dual Flow systems are engineered to provide high flow rates, high capacites and benefits of individual equipment filtration in a single compact package. Systems with Shut-Off Valve, for ice, coffee, tea, and cold beverage, including FCB and post mix.

A Central System providing filtered water to several pieces of equipment (including ice and coffee) can prove more economical and easier to install and service.

Espresso & Espresso Based Drinks

ESP114Tn124T

Espresso water filtration systems are designed to reduce hard scale build-up on heating coils without affecting the equipment

Excess chlorine and organics can cause bitter-tasting beverages. Calcium and magnesium can build up on heating coils, reducing efficiency and increasing service calls.

The Need: To reduce the scale build-up on espresso boilers.

The Solution: Aqua-Pure® Commercial Products SQC ion exchange systems reduce hardness without the need for a drain, elelctrical connection or salt regeneration.

Iced Teas

Iced Teas

Specialty Ice Teas are becoming popular alternatives to coffee.

Calcium and magnesium hardness can decrease holding times and cause beverages to become cloudy.

Excess sediment particles can clog the spray head in the brew basket.

Excess chlorine and organics can cause bitter-tasting beverages.

The Need: Maintaining beverage clarity and increased holding times for brewed iced tea.

The Solution: Aqua-Pure® Commercial Products are iniquely designed and in-house tested for maximum performance and effectiveness.

Model BREW 120-MS, Valve-in-Head Filter System

Micron Rating: 0.5

Flow Rates: 1.5 gpm (5.7 lpm)

Capacity: 9,000 gals (34,069 lit.)

Reduction Claims: Sediment, chlorine taste & odor, scale

Steamers & Combi Ovens

ScaleGard™ Plus2 and CFSRO Systems

Designed to reduce service calls in between scheduled maintenance cycles.
Steam equipment is one of the most expensive pieces of equipment to maintain in a back-of-house operation. Failures are mostly due to poor water quality.

Shards of scale can block blow-down drains.

Scale build-up increases energy consumption

Scale build-up can cause excess service calls, downtime and increase operational expenses

The Need: To eliminate scale build-up or reducing it to the oint where normal servicing schedules can be maintained.

The Solution: Cuno's reverse osmosis units are designed for the reduction of scale in a cost-effective manner.
